Halkidiki Green Olives

Our green olives come from the region of Halkidiki in northern Greece. They, too, are packed with antioxidants and healthy fats and have a fantastic mild flavor without being too salty. Green olives are perfect for cocktails & garnishes; blend them for your own homemade tapenade or pesto, too.

Olive Oil

Greeks have been cultivating the Koroneiki olive for more than 3,000 years. Native to Tragano’s home region, the Koroneiki varietal produces an oil that is renowned for its complex taste -- and, in modern times, appreciated for its high concentration of polyphenols and other antioxidants.

Ours is a limited production, certified-organic, extra virgin olive oil. Our strict adherence to centuries-old traditions combines with the renowned Peloponnesian dry, temperate climate to nurture this rare olive variety, so sought after for its complex, flavorful aromas. Picked and cold-pressed on the same day, its precious freshness, full body and low acidity is guaranteed. This prized olive oil is a cornerstone of the healthy Greek diet and adds an extraordinary flavor to your diet without a trace of cholesterol, pesticides or preservatives, which are hidden in lesser-quality alternatives.

CapIA Peppers

The Capia pepper variety is a sweet, mild pepper that is often used to make pimento and paprika. Our certified organic Capia peppers are hand-picked by Stathis Xenos, who’s been farming for over 30 years. We truly fire-roast this Eastern Mediterranean native pepper to preserve its renowned crispiness. Stuff them, or blend with olive oil and roasted garlic, use in your salads, appetizers, sandwiches or bruschetta…there are many ways to enjoy these fat-free, high-fiber, Capia peppers. They deserve a special place in your low calorie healthy diet.

Sea Fennel

The evidence suggests that humans were eating Rock Samphire (aka Sea Fennel) before they began eating wheat. This curious, slow-growing plant – which in the wild grows mainly in rock crevices along Mediterranean and European shorelines – has seen its popularity rise and fall throughout the ages. Known by at least 85 different names in countries around the world, Sea Fennel, or crithmum maritimum, its Latin name, has a defined texture and also boasts a high concentration of natural vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Today this highly-prized native of Greek coastlines is sustainably grown as USDA-certified organic Sea Fennel by the Skylakakis family. Call it Rock Samphire, Sea Fennel, Crithmon (one of its Medieval names) or whatever you like, but just try it – you’ll discover a new, healthy addition to your salads, soups, and vegan or paleo creations.

HONEY

Our organic honey is collected from Cretan wild thyme, sage, mountain tea (Sideritis Syriaca), and Cretan ebony (ebenus cretica) that grow in the mountains of the Greek island of Crete. Mr. Stefanakis combines his scientific knowledge with three generations of bee-keeping traditions to harvest and traditionally extract our honey to ensure that all the natural characteristics and nutritional benefits remain intact.
